I’m someone who has stood where your workers stand. My understanding of risk wasn’t formed in a classroom — it was built on Okanagan farms, in commercial kitchens, across busy warehouse floors, behind the wheel of heavy equipment, and on active job sites where mistakes have real consequences.
I’ve seen what happens when systems fail and corners are cut. I’ve felt the weight of responsibility that comes with keeping people safe in high-risk environments.
During my time as a volunteer firefighter, I didn’t just study emergency response — I lived it. I learned that in a single moment, “compliance” becomes the difference between a close call and a tragedy. That reality is the heartbeat of Field Safety Management.
